…or the Kegelstatt Trio, K.498, if you prefer.
Can anyone advise me on the demisemiquaver turns in the first movement?
Are they supposed to be played exactly in time, or with a more relaxed feel, starting maybe after the second (rather than third) quaver?
I’ve not played enough Mozart to know what performance practices there are.
bowling alley? Doesn’t matterr too much, some play it as written, some on the 3rd beat. As long as there’s an agreement amongst the players obviously, and you’re consistent throughout the movt.
Thanks, Mikey.
The translation of ‘Kegelstatt’ is ‘Bowling Alley’
I’ve not done it with clarinet - we had a violin taking the clarinet part.
But it’s gorgeous music.
Have fun!
