I got a lot of the framework setup already so shouldn’t be too much work to see if it go. This an easier project than rebuilding the moliner (famoous last words) would be wikid to get a base model then fine tune it to a smaller example set from my own playback chain WUT.
This getting complex already. LOL
Identifying and removing the clicks no biggie but what happens to the little hole afterward and how that impacts music tricky. Looks like there might be diffusion based click removal floating around already. Probably should read about this before raw dogging it with AI jesus.
I just finished first training run. I’m not sure it did anything yet. This feels like it could take days of tinkering to make work. Gonna need red bulls.
Man, this click project aint gonna go. It keeps giving me dirty samples back after I train it to distinguish just on impulse shits.
Going to finish the boric acid super lubricity experiment I try months back which turned one of my tatum discs to literal stone wthen it preipitated weird (calcium borate)
Is promising
I was looking through all my weird chemicals and remember I bought CAPB. I feel this ideal wet play ( ) tonic for LPness at one point so I try it on barere’s gritty ass rec and it help some.
The CAPB / Dawn experiment worked. They have different sets of strengths but I basically doubled the resolution of my el cheapo cart.
Is just a transfer with clicks removed. May not need exotic AI model cleaning when good old fashioned AI jesus can help me figure things out physics wise.
With a better transfer I figured out some more production errors from the Barere rec an did a full restore shits.
Basically they were cutting into trash material so cutting guy took 3db off above 3750khz after an already aggressive roll BUT the big thing is either somebody got fouled up when transferring tape or something cuz there a bid ass rising slope (maybe 6db constant velocity / constant voltage) diff and it got cut without bass.
Through the miracle of record lube and AI I bring back a listenable barere from the land of unlistenable trash pressings.
