This have no digital surface noise reduction. Just decklick and rumble reduction.
Brand new never played 78rpm records from perfect pressings can be up to 40db dynamic range but most generally around 30 in good shape. These treatments put this record around 45db using the DJ cart that came with my budget audio technica turntable

So I disconnected the sheeyat and bypassed the tone arm wire right to the rca out and reassembled and it sounded exactly the same. Cuz I forgot to scrap off this rando resistor.

I went deep for this one. I floated the entire recording chain on batteries. My noise floor was around 92db before I put needle to frictionless materials homebrew. I cleaned hum, rumble and clicks. And got this dynamic range out of a 1942 shellac record with no broadband noise reduction.

Impedances are all fucked until I can get the the tranz amp working later today, (hence wonky freq responses) but the surface noise reductions are pretty solid using mechanical shits.
First run at trans amp. This REALLY hard to make go. Interacts totally differently with each cartridge you put on it and I got grounding issues I gotta figure out but probably worth effort.
Output voltage too high on the cartridge to work right. Hmmm o wonder if I can put resistors in this bigger.
