Opera libretti PDFs

Hi all,

The last few months I’ve been listening to a ton of opera. For those of you who want to get into opera too, I made a collection of opera libretti in PDF. They are all either from EMI or Decca, so they contain multiple languages side-by-side and translations should be pretty good.

You can download it here:

mediafire.com/download/xeug8 … bretti.zip

Contains the following: (I know some of them aren’t operas but contain the sung text)

Bach B minor Mass.pdf
Beethoven Fidelio.pdf
Beethoven Missa solemnis.pdf
Brahms Requiem.pdf
Debussy Pelleas et Melisande.pdf
Donizetti Lucia.pdf
Haydn Die Jahreszeiten.pdf
Humperdinck Hansel und Gretel.pdf
Mozart Cosi fan tutte.pdf
Mozart Die Zauberflote.pdf
Mozart Don Giovanni.pdf
Mozart Le nozze di Figaro.pdf
Puccini Madama Butterfly.pdf
Strauss Ariadne auf Naxos.pdf
Strauss Der Rosenkavalier.pdf
Strauss Die Fledermaus.pdf
Strauss Salome.pdf
Verdi Aida.pdf
Verdi Don carlo.pdf
Verdi Falstaff.pdf
Verdi Il trovatore.pdf
Verdi Otello.pdf
Wagner Das Rheingold.pdf
Wagner Der Fliegende Hollander.pdf
Wagner Die Meistersinger.pdf
Wagner Die Walkure.pdf
Wagner Gotterdammerung.pdf
Wagner Lohengrin.pdf
Wagner Parsifal.pdf
Wagner Siegfried.pdf
Wagner Tannhauser.pdf
Wagner Tristan und Isolde.pdf

If you’re looking for opera recordings to start with, I’d recommend getting the Erich Kleiber recording of Figaro and the Furtwangler 1953 Salzburg performance of Don Giovanni.

This is really awesome! Massive rezpec

respek to OP

Thanks!
I honestly listen to many operas without having more than a vague outline of the plot.
At least when you see them live you get the surtitres (is there even a word for this in English?)

Surtitles.
:brotha:

serious?
I wouldn’t have guessed that :doc:
