richter often has a tendency to rush and swallow dots and beats on rests and stuff, obviously he was a legendary calibre but i don’t think of him as having particularly incredible rhythm

I’d love to hear an example of Richter rushing and distorting rest and note values. In my estimation, he does that very infrequently, and it’s usually for a reason. Respect for the score was pretty much his sacred duty…
