First prize-winner at the World Piano Competition in London, 1997, finalist in the Leeds International Piano Competition, 2000 and a two-year promotion under BBC 3’s New Generation Artist Scheme identify Ashley Wass as a ‘very special talent’ (The lndependent). Widely travelled as an inspiring soloist, chamber musician and concerto performer, he has appeared with many leading ensembles and orchestras including the CBSO under Sir Simon Rattle and the Hong Kong Philharmonia, opening its 2002/3 season.
