For me, late Sokolov is basically current Sokolov from the last 10 years or so.
But in this case, after listening to the whole thing, Pletnev is terrible and would prefer Sokolov in anything over this stronz!
Pletnev has not been my cup of tea like ever, but especially in his recs after 2006 or so
