Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony - Oslo Philharmonic 1986

This is one of my favorite symphonies, and probably favorite pieces of music in general. I don’t know why, it just fits me perfectly.

An amazing symphony, heard two recordings of it, this one is far better than the other one I’ve heard, which I forget who played. Anyways, love this piece, was just listening to it in the car so I thought I’d share it with you guys.

This piece sits near the top of my list, along with Prok Concerto No. 3 and Beethoven’s Emperor, on pieces to see live before I die.

Enjoy it.

I didn’t dl, but I’m guessing it’s Mariss Jansons at the podium…

I’ll post Mravinsky and Eschenbach - the best two recs i know of.

There’s also a VERY sweet Furtwangler rec.
