Wtf March 1941!

Damnnnnn

This looks nice. One full recital but many major solo works included. It would be better if some of his chamber music recordings can be included as well…

hmm I don’t know about that. Price of the set might fall in that case

It depends on with whom those chamber works were played, I think. But I guess the major reason no chamber recording is included is that you need extra permission from each member who played in order to publish such a recording

Just received my Foster set today. This will be a great Christmas gift!
Accompanied is the 15th volume of the Lagniappe series. This one contains the complete solo recordings of Blanche Selva and the complete recordings of Cecile Boutet de Monvel. Nothing new on CD for both artist, but it is nice to have a transfer from Ward.

Someone has already shared this set online openly. Marston might be busy hunting it down now…

If possible, could you share the Blanche Selva? She interests me more than Sidney Foster… :flushed:

wtf

ok, that’s kinda fucked. if the marston stuff get leaked openly - they have less of an incentive to keep the great releases coming.

I’m really waiting for Landmarks vol 2 and other goodies…
goddamn!

I think it is inevitable that those releases would be shared openly, but his recent two piano albums, Rachmaninov and Foster, were shared about two weeks after release, with full scans. This is kind a disaster.

only on a chinese site tho.

Once such things got shared openly, they will spread quickly to other places. And because those were first shared in a Chinese microblog, it is not easy for Marston to take them down. China still is largely a place not covered by copyright laws…

Is this not sort of hypocritical talk on this forum?
