You’re talking about the 24th caprice right or did he have an earlier version? I can’t remember Liszt’s version.

Liszt’s and Paganini’s are sorta similar in some variations, iirc…

And I’ve seen the Friedman score as well, looks a bit totally insane.

An accurate reflection of his girth no doubt. I haven’t heard it either. Someone mind posting the sheets?

nevermind I realise I have it after all

The friedman version was posted by da kritty played by raekolli, maybe some mofoes can repost.

that would be very interesting to hear, as I have only one recording of the Friedman. Few pianist can play this transcedental work.

yeh, the 6th of the Paganini etudes=the 24th caprice. from what I remember from glancing at the violin part briefly, the Liszt is a direct transcription of the violin one (with harmony of course).

Brahms book 1…

I wonder why Michelangeli recorded only selections from Brahms books 1 and 2. The playing is phenomenal, yet it is not the complete set. :frowning:

Brahms for me is the best variations - they are full of technical problems, and they are the most difficult, especially book 2.
