I’ve played some brilliant Yamaha CFX concert grands… wonderful articulation and the evenness between the registers make some passages sound like a fuckin midi file.
I’ve played da CFX on at least 3 occasions in da Yamaha salon NYC, da piano kind of overpowers da room imho. INSANE bass notes too, gotta be treated with care.
So many of da Soviet artists never had the opportunity to play on 88s anywhere NEAR this level of craftsmanship.
Basically, they is all GUD - and Dey sound only as good as da peniz in question
