Da brotha is the only composah I don’t enjoy da vol playing, I think.

Some of it is good, for example his op 26. For the third concerto, for some reason my impression in the hall was that he didn’t have the right sound. But I didn’t get that impression hearing the recording of the sonata.

Can someone try to grab this one? I always mean to cap these things and then I get busy and forget all about it.

Tomorrow, anyone up for it?

Isn’t mezzo a pay-TV channel? Or have they become like Medici?

No idea. Still, someone on here is bound to have a subscription.

Oh, wait, you mean they’re like a channel on a tv box? Jeez, get with the times dudes.

Yeah, they used to be like that, but maybe they’ve added an online service. I don’t know.

Why to worry about? It’s the same program he played in Moscow already 2018.

Just go to:

Indeed, but at least with Debargue you usual hear an evolution in his interpretations. I’ll be hearing him in the same programme in May.

Eric Lu and another Babayan broadcast are coming up. Not live though.

Lu is playing at FLV in a couple of weeks, but the rep is uninspiring and he also doesn’t seem to be my kind of pianist (Leeds comp winners rarely are).

From what I’ve heard of him, he’s very much on the soft / gentle / poetic side. Not the fiery type. Amazingly though he’s only 21. It feels like he’s been around for ages (I guess because of the last Chopin Comp).

As my teacher says: He’s like a young Perahia.

Yikes :dong:

Yes, and Fanny Waterman has a huge hard on for Perahia.

France musique dedicated a programme to Gelber. I don’t know if there’s any new material in here, but it’s worth checking.

This is some good shit, you guys should give it a listen. The actual broadcast hasn’t finished so the mp3 link isn’t showing up in the code yet.

Who conducts the Mozart K537? Did it mentioned in the program?
