da best endurance piece

whats da longest piece you can think of dat is fast n hard all da way through w/out any moizt sheeyat in da middle?

Kan - da PREUX

haha, i dun kno wdis, how long is it?

KAN op39 :sunglasses:

Even now when I listen to it, I wonder how people can take the time to learn it. I mean, it’s great, but I’d save my calories for KFC.

Depends what your priorities are, but with a brain like Hamelin’s he can afford to play and memorize huge quantities of notes. Others have to be more picky I suppose.

I’ve never really heard about how quickly he memorises. I think Paul (e60m5) said it wasn’t that difficult. It seems like a monster though.

Well it’s very pianistic, if you’re obsessed enough with it then the process of mastering each section tech wise kind of automatically memorizes it to a degree, Doing the op39no8 alone is like doing a full op10 or op25 Chopin in a sense.

Ooooo da maxinator just became my new fav sdc member!

da Hammerklav?

Da kanconc first mvt?

Haha da Shoe Tocc randomly an endurance mofo

Yup, that’s the one which first crossed my mind as well.

Oh, a current one too - Prok-2-II

Yeah fuck that noise, once you’re done with the double notes you get the octaves. Still a wikid piece though.

hahaha, randomly the Horowitz 1930’s rec is so light, effortless n MOFO. I prefer that to the Lhevinne.

Lhevinne’s tech is overhyped in general IMO.

I need to revisit da Ho in this one. My favourite from those I remember is Berezovsky.

In terms of pure mechanics da Lhevinne wuz amazing for da era, but I never found his tone to be particularly special…

amen. Dat mofo can sure demolish da 88…
I met him at da 2011 pimp comp n he wuz cool
