while Doc nevah produced anything super inzightful but nevah mazzacre anything like da Ho did

When I was first starting out, I had immense joy every time I found a Horowitz CD at the store, especially when the CD wasnāt something carried at the big retailers. Like the CD with the Liszt Paganini Etude. I have never, ever had that feeling when encountering a Hamelin recording on the store shelves.
Mind you, I like Hamelin. But they just arenāt comparable for this listener.

Just compare them even in the first ten bars of something like Standchen. Quite possibly you might not agree with da interp, but doc sounds like a plodding student in comparison to an artist.
