CHURN got dis one alzo
HAHAHAHAH FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKK
Fantasiestucke Op.12 has some nasty parts too
If Traumes Wirren were a Chopin etude itâd be one of the harder ones, especially at this tempo
Tru. Da opener is a fucker for pedalling.
Thanks for this. When I played most in my early 20s I worked on TW in parallell with Liszt/Norma. I played Norma quite well. Never could get Traumes Wirren spinning.
I really love this early smooth Horowitz rec of it
Itâs similar to Chopinâs Op.10 No.2 in terms of what it does to your weaker fingers, and it doesnât help that the standard tempo is really fast. If you have small hands you can forget about it! Schumann is not kind to small hands in general.
Really sastifying and fun to play once you do get it right though
Yeah, my model at the time was Richter I think.
At 5:47
Tru
Neither is Chopin tru
Nah Chopin I think was much kinder than Schumann in terms of hand sizes
I donât think Liszt or Chopin ever wrote chords over an octave that you couldnât roll, but Schumann does it all the time
There are a few in Liszt actually. Mostly early works, but also in the late 1840s Invocation for instance IIRC.
Hm, donât think Iâve ever encountered that stuff. But he doesnât do as regularly as Schumann which is also why I consider Liszt to be much more pianistic
I mean if you canât reach a tenth then you can forget about either of these pieces
The op.12 you could cheat with the lh and some pedalling.
ToccataâŚwell, its winning the pollâŚ
Yeah, and da raw LH 10ths in da original version of da A minor Paganigga Etude
But Liszt has the thirds ossia for da small hand gang pussies
oh man yeah that left hand run in tenths instead of thirds the pimp was into pain at that point for sure if heâd actual perfâd them like that.
Tru, about me as well.
