Define ā€œsleepā€

Itā€™s pretty much impossible for me to get 8 hours of sleep a night. Taking a lot of Ativan is the only thing that helped my sleep, but it fucked me up in other ways.

Man, you end up too hyper?

Wtf is Ativan?

Itā€™s a benzodiazepine, an anti-anxiety drug similar to Xanax.

The effects stay even when you stop taking it?

What do you mean?

Are you still on that shit?

No way, I havenā€™t touched the stuff since early 2016. But I was took it all of 2015 and it was a major contributor to the health problems I had then (the other factor was the Italian chick).

Jesusā€¦ fuck big pharma. Those motherfuckers feed us poison like the masonic satanists that they are

Itā€™s worse in the states, where they hand out this stuff like tictacs. In Australia, itā€™s practically impossible to get Xanax now, even though Ativan is arguable worse.

They want us doped up, fucked up, and kids that act up in elementary school get put on downers

Fuck!

Your country is owned by special interest groups bro, whether itā€™s big pharma or the NRA. Mine is being infiltrated by the Chinese, and France is raped by unions. Pozz only da New Zeppland iz free, but itā€™s because they only care about rugby. :dong:

Unions are fucked in NYC bro

I think our actual sleep requirements vary. Some function well on less, some need more.

I think artificial light and modern life really fucks us up.

Setting a good solid circadian rhythm really helps , especially with regards to ā€˜bookendingā€™.

Itā€™s okay to do different things every day but having a morning and nighttime ritual of both energising and unwinding are essential, and doing them at the same time daily.

Seeing sunlight quickly after waking, and doing something physical, in the morning.

And in the evening, less food and light and general stimulation, just unwinding and aiding our bodyā€™s melatonin release.

My sleep patterns atm are pretty random. On average, maybe 6 hours.

If left not interrupted I sleep 9.5 hours like clockwork. Staying on top of work shit puts me at 5 and sometime a bathroom sleep.

Yeah, they call this ā€œsleep hygieneā€ but it never helped me much. Neither did melatonin tablets. Even more powerful sedatives like anti psychotic drugs like seroquel didnā€™t really help. Only thing that helped me was Ativan.

During my masters I probably averaged 4-5 hours for the entire year (including weekends), with some months where that dropped to 3 hours a night. It was brutal, and after that I said Iā€™d never pursue a career in Finance.

Fuckā€¦

Can you perhaps visit a sleep specialist or sum shit?

Is the diagnosis - insomnia?
