I basically encased this Barere pre death Dong Juan record in Teflon.
Curious if it helps cuz even mint recs of this have garbage playback.
I kinda want to glue this now that I put teflon to see what happens but thats what ruined my last copy of this. Hmmm

Gonna try to record this bitch at 16 rpm and speed to up. Most of this just making work until proper cartridges are here. This the cheapest 78rpm stylus you can buy.

Wow these transfers 100X worse than what I was doing with laser beams and nicer turntable in Seattle.

Trying to make a moving magnet cartridge work with a transimpedance amp. Kinda went! Sounds better than prior.
Might be able to get around the resistance drop by recording half speed. Hmmmm

After hearing it a few times this really a flawless perf. When the MC carts arrive should be free of mid to high freq droop.

I like Errol Garner. He isn’t as flashy as Tatum, but sometimes Tatum just seems to employ his bag of tricks on autopilot, whereas Garner always feels engaged.

@knar I think I can get the cartridge wiring down to -65 degrees. Its not a super conductor but I bet it do something weird. Will try it on the Tatum reference cuz I have a bunch of 5AM deadlines and this seem like a good use of time.
