He has insane precision and mechanical technique

But I feel like some of his voicing doesn’t show a great understanding of the work, at least in the first movement. Sounds too spontaneous, like he’s showing off

Me too. I think the Wanderer is a masterpiece despite being more showy than typical Schubert.
