I got a theory that back when keyboard instruments were more percussive and initial impact was way stronger with less sustain the rhythmic fury of these guys must have been way strong. The virtuoso ilk from 19th century all def born an and bred on these things coming up - is why their music sounds of shit when not respected even with hair tossing etc.
