As much as I respect Bach, I canā€™t stand playing him (seriously FUCK counterpoint). I have never played anything by Haydn, Rach or Scriabin. For that matter, I have never learned a major piece to completion by Schubert, Schumann or Brahmsā€¦ gave up on Wanderer, Carnaval and Handel Vars about half way. So much for being well-rounded.

My repertoire (ā€œrepertoireā€) has been heavily centered around Chopin and Liszt so I guess you could say everyone else has been neglected, but I have played at least 1-2 works by every major composer I can think of now. Maybe de Falla, I donā€™t think Iā€™ve learned anything by him.

Bach is difficult to learn, but not difficult to play once youā€™ve mastered it. I would have played much more if it hadnā€™t been so energy draining to memorize it.
