He was really really good. I heard him in his liszt program solo recital and the rach 1st concerto (a long time ago) Rach was explosive and amazing (think early etude tabs) but this was old lugy, liszt mature lugy have a holographic finely detailed warm sound. It doesnât come across in his recs even though they sound nice.
Nevertheless, Iâll give him another shot based on your enthusiasm.
